How to deposit and withdraw with WSOP.com PA
Depositing and withdrawing funds from WSOP.com PA is a cinch. Again, since WSOP PA is a state-regulated online gaming operator, your funds are safe, secure and protected.
Major pro: Ease of use and multiple options
We admired the various banking options for depositing and withdrawal at WSOP PA. The ease of moving money around was very much appreciated.
Deposits
- PayPal: Instantly move money online, which is our preferred method.
- ACH (bank transfer): Offers security and convenience; however, there is a waiting period of one to three business days.
- Mastercard or Visa: This is our least preferred method as most transactions are blocked by the issuing merchant. We had no success using this method.
- PayNearMe: This cash option is available at most 7-Eleven, CVS Pharmacy and Family Dollar stores.
- Cash at the Cage: A great option, especially if you play poker or are playing other casino games at Harrah’s Philadelphia or if you are in the vicinity. Be sure to bring your valid ID.
Withdrawals
- Neteller: Preferred and instant.
- ACH: Again, safe and secure, but there is a waiting period.
- Bank draft
- Reverse withdrawal requests
About the WSOP.com PA loyalty rewards
After depositing, check out the loyalty program named Poker Rewards. Essentially, you accumulate Action Player Points the more you play poker.
While playing cash ring games, you get two APPs for every $1 in rake collected from the table. APPs are based on your contribution to the rake for each hand. Fractional APPs are split down to the hundredths.
In tournaments, you get two APPs for each $1 in tournament rake paid. Again, fractional APPs are awarded in the hundredths.
It is important to note that APPs are calculated monthly, ending on the last calendar day of each month in Eastern Standard Time. This means that APPs are reset on the first calendar day of each month.
APPs are important because every player is categorized into a tier based on points earned. Currently, player tiers are:
- Player: 0+ APPs
- Bronze: 200 APPs
- Silver: 750 APPs
- Elite: 1,500 APPs
- Yearly Champions Club: 20,000 APPs
So, how do you at least reach the bronze tier?
You must accrue 200 APPs in a calendar month, which is paying $100 in either cash game raked hands or tournament entry fees.
How do WSOP Points and multipliers work?
Once you reach the bronze tier, your APPs are converted to WSOP Points. Why is this important? Well, these WSOP Points can then be converted to real money.
Additionally, once you hit the bronze tier, WSOP.com PA awards a WSOP Point Multiplier. Below is the WSOP Point Multipliers scale with player tiers:
- Player: No multiplier
- Bronze: 4x
- Silver: 10x
- Elite: 12.5x
- Yearly Champions Club: 16x
How do you convert the WSOP Points to real cash? Simply click on “My Profile” then “My Rewards” and finally “Convert” from the lobby.
To explain more, a newly minted bronze tier player who has 200 APPs is receiving 200 x 4 = 800 WSOP Points.
Every 100 WSOP Points are available to convert to $1 in cash. Using our example from above, it means the bronze tier player receives $8 back or an 8% rakeback deal once the WSOP Points are converted.
It is important to note again that APPs reset at the start of each calendar month. This means you will have to earn another 200 APPs in the next calendar month to receive rakeback.
Notably, if you pay $10,000 in cash game raked hands or tournament entry fees in one calendar year, you would enter the Yearly Champions Club and earn 20,000 APPs. 20,000 x 16 = 320,000 WSOP Points redeemable for $3,200. This means you get 32% rake back.
As a caution, please note that if you fail to earn at least one WSOP Point in a six-month period and you have unspent WSOP Points, these will automatically expire.
More ways to earn
Moreover, if you already have a Caesars Rewards account through any Caesars property, you should connect it with your WSOP PA player profile.
In this manner, your hard-earned APPs are also awarded corresponding Caesars Rewards’ tier credit.
Lastly, WSOP.com PA is eager for new customers to start at the same loyalty tier they are accustomed to at a different poker site. If you have achieved loyalty status elsewhere, you can directly contact the WSOP support team to ask for a loyalty tier match.
Review of WSOP poker app and software
Dragonfish automate the software for WSOP.com PA. What’s more? The company 888Holdings owns this software package. As a side note, this explains why WSOP.com New Jersey shares a player pool with 888 Poker NJ.
Desktop poker software review
The downloadable client for desktop computers is only available for Windows and Mac OS. Please note that this download is 100% mandatory.
In other words, no browser-based poker client exists.
Wsop Poker Game
Please note there is a minimum requirement of 1.8 GHz, 760 MB of RAM and a minimum of 50 MBof hard drive space for Windows.
For Apple systems, a minimum Mac OS X 10.6.8, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and 4 GB of DDR2 667 MHz memory are needed.
Pros of the desktop software
On the plus side, there are many positives to the desktop software, which makes it is easy to overlook the disadvantages. The biggest positive is that the lobby and interface are both easy to navigate and very intuitive.
Game filtering is easy to control, and you can easily filter available games on stakes, format and the tournament schedule.
Lastly, players are secured by Secure Socket Layer technology. This means that data transmissions are safeguarded by outstanding security. This is the most significant advantage of playing on a legalized online gaming operator’s software.
Disadvantage: an antiquated user interface
Our only criticism is the interface experience, and even the download process of the client feels very outdated. The download process of the client looks like the old Windows of the last decade with the unpackaging and software installation. There aren’t any frequent updates to the software.
It seems that WSOP sticks with the “if it ain’t broke, why fix it?” mindset. Again, we did not mind overlooking the interface of the client because of the many positives of the desktop software.
In particular, we felt safe and secure with our money on WSOP.com PA.
WSOP app review
WSOP Pennsylvania offers an app for both iPhone/iPad and Android devices. You can find links to both via the WSOP online homepage.
We recommend signing up via the website and using the promo code to maximize available bonuses. Then download the Apple or Android app and sign in there.
Please keep in mind the minimum system requirements before downloading the WSOP poker app:
- Apple: Minimum iPod Touch 4, iPhone 4, iPad 2, or iPad Mini or iPad with Retina display with iOS 6.1 or later.
- Android: ARMv7/x86 processor with vector FPU, 550 MHz, Android® 2.3 and 256 MB of RAM.
Most importantly? Make sure you have a steady connection, especially when wagering for real money. Otherwise, we would only remain on the play-money side of WSOP.com PA.
Here are the minimum connection requirements:
- Download: 256 kb/s
- Upload: 64 kb/s
Advantages of the WSOP mobile app
The app is pretty versatile, allowing you to claim bonuses and check loyalty points, deposit and withdraw, check your account balances and information. It offers a great way to check your account on the go.
A major advantage is that during our review, we had no issues with the app itself. It runs and loads smoothly on Apple and Android mobile devices. Furthermore, we enjoyed the ability to be entertained and not be confined to our desktop computer.
Disadvantages of the WSOP.com PA mobile app
Unfortunately, it is difficult to obtain certain information about current promotions. You need to use the WSOP.com PA website or even the desktop software to get the details. Again, we think that this has to do with the client interface not being updated frequently.
On the other hand, support is very responsive and answered in a matter of hours through email. Read on below for our review of WSOP.com PA support.
Finally, please note that it is not suitable for many multi-table poker games. It is our recommendation to use desktop software for multiple table sessions.
Ideally, we would somehow love the option of multi-tabling poker games well on a mobile phone. However, it is understandable why it is a difficult proposition for any online poker mobile operator to make this dream a reality.
Overall, it was nice that at the end of our tournament session, we had the option to switch easily to the app and finish our last tournament from the comfort of the living room couch.
Top-notch customer service by WSOP.com PA
WSOP has phone and email support. Both support channels are available around the clock, 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
This call center is exclusive to WSOP customers in Pennsylvania only, meaning you do not have to battle WSOP.com customers from other states.
We found the call center and email support responsive and pleasant to deal with regarding our questions about bonuses and promotions.
In addition, there is an extensive help section provided by WSOP PA. This help section is great at answering many of the common questions such as banking, registering for a new account, registering for tournaments, various games and bonuses.
Finally, you can always check out WSOP.com PA’s forums to see issues or concerns other customers are facing. Support representatives moderate the forums, so any problems seem to get a response in a quick and timely manner.
We were very impressed by the friendliness and effectiveness of the support teams for WSOP.com PA. There are no negatives for us to report.
A review of poker games at WSOP.com PA
Overall, there are enough games and game types for you to enter and play at any hour of the day, seven days a week.
However, if you are looking for a specific format of the game such as the lesser-known poker formats, don’t expect to see these run often, especially when the site’s traffic is low or during off-peak hours.
Here’s a quick rundown of the poker games and our preferred recommendation (Find a more comprehensive review of each poker game further below.):
- Multi-Table Tournaments: This is our preferred game due to a multitude of options.
- Sit and Go Tournaments: These are easy to start, and no-limit hold ’em, especially at lower stakes, fills quickly. Particularly, we liked BLAST, which is a super turbo SNG with prize multipliers.
- Cash Games: This is our least preferred option because there aren’t many table options nor game options other than hold ’em.
Multi-table tournaments
Multi-table tournaments are really how WSOP PA distinguishes itself as a major online poker operator in the Keystone State. This was our preferred choice of poker game due to variety.
Major pro of playing MTTs at WSOP.com: Variety
There is a smorgasbord of options regarding buy-ins, satellites and even freerolls to whet any poker player’s appetite.
Regular buy-ins vary anywhere from free to $500.
Here are some recurring MTTs on WSOP PA:
Daily tournaments
Currently, WSOP.com PA runs a $10,000 and a $15,000 guarantee as a chance to win it big daily. The $15,000 guarantee typically runs in the evening and is the most popular weekday tournament.
Make sure to check the lobby for more details.
$25K Tuesdays
Tuesdays host the biggest tournament guarantee during the weekday with a $25,000 guarantee, meaning you don’t need to wait till the weekend to cash in on some major tournament action.
Saturdays
WSOP.com PA kicks off the weekend with a hefty $10,000 guarantee tournament. What’s more? There is a monthly Saturday tournament with a $20,000 guarantee.
Sunday guarantees
Sundays prove to be the biggest day of the week for MTTs.
- $100,000 guarantee with a $320 entry. You can even qualify for free or for cheap through daily $100K freerolls or various satellites.
- $30,000 guarantee that you can also play during or after the $100K.
- $10,000 guarantee with a small buy-in and hefty prize pool.
- $8,000 guarantee that starts later on Sundays for the night owls looking to cash in.
- $50,000 monthly guarantee that occurs on the last calendar Sunday of every month. This tournament has multiple satellites and freerolls that you can qualify for throughout the month for a chance to win big.
Disadvantage of MTTs at WSOP.com PA: Re-entries are essentially re-buys
Finally, our major gripe with WSOP.com PA (really all the WSOP software) is re-entry tournaments.
If you choose to re-enter a tourney, you are essentially required to re-enter right away (if memory serves us correctly, it is a 20-second timer). When you choose the option to buy in again, you are placed in the same seat and the same table, meaning it is actually more of a re-buy, not a re-entry.
To our knowledge, no other online poker site operates in the same manner. At some other operators’ sites, you can choose to re-enter so long as registration is open, and you will likely have a new seat at a new table.
This seems completely outdated, and there isn’t any reason the software is not updated to correct this issue.
However, this issue is not enough to dissuade us from playing on WSOP.com PA, and enjoying having online poker in the Keystone State.
Sit and go tournaments
While WSOP.com PA has the option for multiple sit-and-go games, hold’em reigns supreme.
Benefit: Short wait times to start SNGs
You can expect to find around 10 to 20 active SNGs dependent on the traffic. Additionally, we did not have to wait long for a lower-stakes no-limit hold’em SNG to fill and start.
Detriment: Lack of game options
Don’t expect options like pot-limit Omaha or Omaha hi/lo to run. You’ll be waiting till the cows come home.
We suggest that if you are looking for more options regarding SNGs to stick with PokerStars PA.
BLAST Poker
WSOP.com PA hails BLAST as the ultimate SNG experience. When you enter a BLAST SNG, you have a chance to play for up to 10,000 times your buy-in.
When you buy in, the format starts as a four-handed super turbo Texas hold’em SNG. A drawing immediately takes place when the tournament starts to determine the prize multiplier, which can be anywhere from two to 10,000 times your buy-in. There is also a BLAST timer with a countdown whose time is determined by how big the multiplier is.
So, when the BLAST timer runs out, every player goes all-in until there is a single winner.
We enjoyed the BLAST SNG format as a way to blow off some steam and watch some fast-paced poker action without the time commitment of regular SNGs.
Cash games
You know what they say: Cash is king. However, cash games don’t seem to be WSOP.com PA’s shining star. Again, cash games rank last on our list due to a low number of games.
Detriment: Lack of games and difficulty finding seats at tables
Wsop Poker Game
Most games that do run are no-limit hold’em and a few limit hold’em games. In the same fashion, it is difficult to find a table or a seat at an active table. This was especially true during hours where the site’s traffic is low.
On the other hand, if you are looking for some pot-limit Omaha, Omaha hi/lo and stud, you are unlikely to find any full games throughout most of the week except during peak hours. Stakes for these games range from $0.10/$0.20 to $10/$20.
Log Into Wsop
Benefit: Enough hold’em tables during peak hours with a wide range in stakes
However, all is not lost. The good news is during peak hours where there is high traffic, we saw about 10 tables of full-ring games ranging in stakes from $0.01/$0.02 to $10/$20.
WSOP.com PA poker network and shared liquidity
Unfortunately, while other states such as New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada share their player pool, Pennsylvanians cannot join the interstate compact at the moment.
This is not the fault of Caesars, but rather the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, which is notoriously conservative when it comes to the revised Wire Act opinion and ongoing litigation. The board would rather err on the side of caution than run afoul of the Wire Act.
However, this is not necessarily the end of the road for the possibility of shared liquidity in Pennsylvania. The answer to whether a shared player pool will ever come to pass is not right now. Hopefully, when the ongoing Wire Act litigation comes to a favorable end, shared liquidity with the other states will come to fruition.
Harrah’s Philadelphia partners with WSOP.com PA
Per the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, which is the Keystone State’s gaming regulatory agency, all iGaming within the state has the requirement of being partnered with a local brick-and-mortar casino. In this case, the partner is Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, located at 777 Harrah’s Blvd., Chester, PA. WSOP.com’s parent company is Caesars Entertainment Corp. Caesars also owns the Harrah’s brand.
Free Wsop Poker Game
This casino also boasts a very spacious and updated poker room. In fact, it is the only World Series of Poker room in Pennsylvania. Additionally, the 28-table poker room is able to spread a variety of poker games such as Texas hold’em, seven-card stud and Omaha.
Are you concerned about your bankroll? Limit games are spread from $2-4-6 to $20-40, and no-limit games can run from $1-2 to $10-25. In like manner, the casino hosts a variety of tournaments, including daily tournaments, special series and sit-and-go games throughout the year.
Lastly, the poker room offers various incentives periodically, such as the current rake-free offer when you play poker on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Summary
WSOP offers superb software, excellent tournament structures and busy cash game traffic, making the site a great place for Pennsylvania players to get their fix of poker action. Being such an iconic brand, WSOP along with its strategic partner Caesars Entertainment is continuing to maximize its presence in the US poker market.
The confetti has been swept up, the noisemakers…oh, wait a second. There were no big gatherings for New Year’s Eve this year. It was quite odd looking at an empty Times Square on New Year’s Eve, but it has become the situation we face under the current COVID-19 pandemic. And, especially after the massive cluster…(my Marine background would say it, but we’re a family page here!) that has been the “hybrid” WSOP “World Championship,” it must leave you wondering what – or whether – the 2021 World Series of Poker will be held?
Relax – It Will Happen
First off, everyone needs to relax. There will be a 2021 WSOP, but it isn’t going to be anything like what we’ve seen previously on the stage in Las Vegas. Even with the summertime fun of the WSOP.com/GGPoker series and the embarrassment that was the “hybrid” in December, Caesars and WSOP officials have now probably learned that they have to hold the biggest event in poker in a live setting or don’t have it at all (and do you really think they’re going to do that?). Thus, the “powers that be” at the WSOP are strategizing right now to making the 2021 event go off in May.
The rollout of several vaccines to combat the COVID-19 outbreak are a welcome sign for anyone who is a fan of mass gatherings. Whether it is a rock concert, sporting event or a poker tournament, these vaccines were necessary to allow for the return of large-scale events around the world. Thus, the December rollout of these valuable medical tools will give everyone a bit of relief when it comes to large gatherings later in the year.
This doesn’t mean, however, that it’s just going to go back to “the way it was.”
The tables themselves will probably remain with the Plexiglas and eight-handed. It is also conceivable that, if the Plexiglas is taken away, that the players at the table will have to all wear masks while playing – no exceptions. That way all players are protected from each other and the personnel working the tournament – the floor staff, dealers, and waitresses (if they’re allowed to work) – are also taken into consideration.
There is the one thing that many might have a problem with, however, and it isn’t the masks. I can easily see the WSOP requiring that you have a valid COVID-19 vaccination and must present the evidence of this vaccination upon registering for events. If you cannot provide this information, you don’t play the events.
What Would Be the Ramifications?
Other than the “not playing” part for not having been vaccinated, the WSOP can go further. The officials with the WSOP held firm to their COVID rule at the “hybrid” WSOP final table here in the States regarding Upeshka DeSilva. For those of you who might not have heard this, DeSilva was at the final table of the U. S. segment of the WSOP but tested positive for the virus. He was summarily disqualified from the tournament and given the ninth-place finish.
There were many who didn’t like this outcome, but it was what the WSOP said would happen, the players understood that they ran this risk, and it wasn’t “a surprise” when the WSOP put their rule into motion. The same thing could very well happen this summer at the 2021 WSOP when, more than likely, the WSOP will test players before final table play and, should anyone pop positive for COVID, would be removed from the event and banned from playing in any other WSOP action for a week (the CDC guideline for quarantine). If you’re one of those people who say, “I’m not wearing a mask” or “I’m not getting a vaccine” or “There’s no way they’re testing me,” guess who isn’t going to be playing at the 2021 WSOP?
The COVID-19 virus is serious. By the time that the WSOP rolls around, it is possible that the virus may have killed more than a half million people in the U. S. (and we’re already at 350K), WAY more than the average “flu bug” that goes around. The WSOP isn’t going to want to take any chances in providing a “super spreader” for the virus, thus it will take whatever tactics it feels is necessary to provide a safe event.
Even with all these preparations in place, there still is the potential that many countries will not allow their citizens to fly to the U. S. (you know, because we’ve done such a fantastic job in controlling it) or vice versa – the U. S. may not allow people in from other countries. It is a grim reality of our current world, but there may not be a “normal” WSOP event until well into 2022…or potentially further. So, if you’re looking to play poker this year, mask up, get jabbed in the arm and take care of yourself and you should be ready to play at the 2021 WSOP, because it is going to be held…how it looks may be a whole other matter.
